At the end of the day I sit in my room alone. Sometimes I watch youtube videos, listen to music and podcast while cleaning and thinking about how the day went. A question that has been in my head for a while now is, Why do people liter?

Why do people liter?

I work at a fast food restaurant ( Yes, I still work at a dental office and still going to school, I will explain later). Back to my point, I work at a fast food restaurant and one of the duties is to checking parking lot. OH MY GOSH. Everyday it is always full of trash, mostly Starbucks since there is one right next to us. But the thing that irks me the most is that there is LITERALLY two dumpsters in the parking lot and people still throw it on the ground!! Like life is so easy, everything is handed to us, but the more they hand us the lazier we get. Why can’t people see the outside like their home? Why do people treat public restrooms differently than their own? Why do people tend to be rude to the employees? We don’t control serving size, prices, etc. Why is it so easy to start a movement to ban straws to save turtles but can’t do one to save our planet? #STOPLITTERING We need to start making changes to help the human life as well. Littering is just slowly destroying our environment, it can cause flood, other animals get hurt by it as well, and wastes our natural resources.

  • I never understood why people think it is okay to treat the public restroom trashy. It sucks because it just shows how we as humans take things for granted. We are to blame for what’s happening with our environment. We want to create movements when the problem is already out of our control.
  • What is the difference of throwing trash inside your house floor vs outside in our environment?
